In a perfect world, all your monitoring tools would be consolidated. Everyone would be able to see everything!
Until that day however, it's highly likely that your environment has several different monitoring tools in place for different purposes. One of the more common tools you'll have come across is Tivoli - now owned by IBM - which is typically used for infrastructure management.
To help you on your way to integration, try the TivoliApp-1.0 to get started.
It's one of the simplest Apps (essentially just a data type to ingest the Tivoli XML and an example workspace) but it does give you the ability to cross reference the Tivoli error codes against your application logs.
Please note, this simply targets the XML log left by Tivoli by the agent, it doesn't monitor the Tivoli Application in any way. If anyone has the desire to add the main Tivoli Applicaiton (no doubt with much more interesting logging!) please fork and improve!
