Agent on Centos not displaying in Agent List
Permalink

Hi,

Has anyone come across the following issue.  I have a couple of Agents (logscape-3.0_b0818) running on Centos 6.5 but for some reason Agent is not showing in the Management Dashboard for list of Agents even though on install the Agent can see the Management Server.

I made a few changes to get the JavaApp-1.0 to run so that I can pull out logs from Tomcat Application Server.

Any ideas?

If you need to see specific files do let me know.

Thanks

Is the Forwarder running ok? An agent.lock file is normally a good indication that it's started

Check the boot.log - any errors in actually starting will pop up there.

Also, check the zoning is correct. If the manager is dev.Management, use dev.Forwarder - not mycompanyname.Forwarder.

Hi Ray,

As Istair has said, likely the agent hasn't booted, or is in the incorrect zone. If you've confirmed that the agent is in the correct zone if you attach your boot.log and agent.log I'll take a look over them and help you troubleshoot your installation.

Thanks,
Nathen
